Trump: Russia clearly wants all of Ukraine. Zelensky is harming his country, only problems come out of his mouth

The American president said he was surprised by the latest Russian strikes in Ukraine and is considering tightening sanctions

Volodymyr Zelensky's statements consistently lead to problems for Ukraine, said US President Donald Trump on the social network Truth Social.

“President Zelensky is not serving his country by speaking the way he does. Everything that comes out of his mouth is problematic, I don't like it and I want it to stop. This is a war that would never have started if I were president. This is Zelensky's, Putin's and Biden's war, not Trump's. I am only helping to put out the big, ugly fires that were started by gross incompetence and hatred“, the US president wrote.

He expressed his dissatisfaction with Russia's massive strike on targets in Ukraine. Trump said the Russian government wanted to take over all of Ukraine, which could "lead to the collapse of Russia," without going into details.

The US president told reporters aboard his plane flying from New Jersey to Washington that he was considering tightening anti-Russian sanctions.

The head of state was asked if he was considering imposing additional restrictions on Moscow. "Absolutely," the president replied.

Trump also said he was not happy with Russia's recent massive strike on targets in Ukraine. "I don't like it at all. I'm very surprised. We'll see what we do," the American leader added.

He was asked to comment on the words of the commander of the air defense division, Yuri Dashkin, who reported that Russian President Vladimir Putin's helicopter was at the epicenter of the coverage of a large-scale attack by Ukrainian drones during a visit to the Kursk region on May 20. "I haven't heard anything like that, but maybe that could be the reason for the strike on Ukraine. I don't know. But I haven't heard," Trump said.
