Drones attacked a military unit in the village of Sredny in the Usolsky district of the Irkutsk region, Governor Igor Kobzev announced. This is the first drone attack in Siberia, he confirmed.

„One of the attacks was on an old military unit building in Novomaltinsk. The exact number of drones has not yet been calculated. According to the governor, the drones were launched from a truck. "The source from which the drones were launched has already been blocked," he added, noting that there was no threat to the civilian population.

The village of Sredny is located about 18 km from the city of Usolye-Sibirskoye and 75 km from Irkutsk.

Murmansk Governor Andrei Chibis also reported a drone attack. Air defense is active in the region.

"Air defense, law enforcement and emergency services are working. "I ask northerners to remain calm and report suspicious situations to 112. Please do not post videos or photos on social networks and do not share them with anyone, including those showing air defense work," he wrote on his Telegram channel.
