It is crucial that NATO members, including the United States, work to reduce tensions in the Middle East, the alliance's Secretary-General Mark Rutte said on Tuesday, Reuters reported. He spoke during a visit to the Swedish capital Stockholm, BTA reports.
„This was a unilateral action by Israel. "That's why I think it's crucial that many allies, including the United States, follow through on their promises and work to de-escalate tensions," Rutte said at a joint press conference with Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristershon, commenting on the Israeli strikes on targets in Iran.
“I know that this is happening right now and it's a priority on the agenda,“ the NATO secretary general added.
