Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Bakayi has reacted to a statement by the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) condemning Israel's aggression against Iran's territorial integrity and sovereignty. This was reported by the Iranian News Agency (IRNA), reports Focus.
Baqaei welcomed the holding of the extraordinary meeting of the GCC foreign ministers and described it as a symbol of a common regional understanding on the need for urgent action to end the “imposed war against Iran“.
He stressed that the joint position of the Persian Gulf countries reflects the concern about the “unprecedented threat“ posed by Israel's actions, which, according to him, constitute a serious violation of international law.
“Urgent intervention is needed at both the regional and global levels to stop the ongoing aggression against Iran“, the spokesman also said.
