Talks about the possible assassination of the Supreme Leader of Iran Ayatollah Ali Khamenei are unacceptable.
This was stated by the press secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov in an interview with the British television channel Sky News.
“It is unacceptable to even talk about it“, he said. Peskov stressed that Moscow's reaction to the assassination of Khamenei would be “extremely negative“.
“We would obviously not approve of this“, he noted, adding that such a development would “open Pandora's box“.
