The Israeli army announced the start of a new wave of air strikes on missile infrastructure in Iran.
This statement by the army's press service was issued almost immediately after another missile attack by Iran against Israeli territory.
“The Israeli Air Force has launched a series of strikes on missile depots and launch infrastructure facilities in central Iran“, the military said in a statement.
Earlier, the army recorded a new shelling of Israeli territory by the Islamic Republic, the first since the beginning of the day. Air raid sirens sounded in the Tel Aviv area, explosions were heard.
The country's population was ordered to take cover. It later emerged that the army had lifted the alert and allowed the population to leave their shelters. The army has not yet commented on the results of the shelling.
According to the Ynet portal, a total of about five missiles were fired from Iran this time. In central Israel, a building was damaged as a result of falling debris after the interception, the portal reported.
