US President Donald Trump believes that Iran could have developed a nuclear weapon in a few weeks or months. He expressed his confidence in this while answering questions from reporters in New Jersey on June 20.

“It looks like I was right about the material that they already have. It's a huge amount“, he added. “I think in a few weeks, in a few months they could have developed a nuclear weapon. We can't let that happen”, he added.

“My intelligence associates are wrong“, the US leader responded to the words of a journalist that, according to US intelligence services, Iran is not currently working on developing nuclear weapons. "She's wrong," Trump said of US Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard. In March, she said US intelligence agencies had seen no evidence that Tehran was working on developing nuclear weapons.

She also said Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei had not sanctioned the resumption of its nuclear weapons program, which was suspended in 2003. At the same time, Gabbard stressed that the US intelligence community was closely monitoring the Islamic Republic's nuclear activities.
