According to Trump, Israel and Iran almost simultaneously asked him to help end the conflict and establish peace. Trump expects the ceasefire to be permanent: “It will last forever.“

According to him, the US strike on Iran's nuclear facilities contributed to reaching ceasefire agreements between the Islamic Republic and Israel and ending the conflict between them. He noted the “great irony“ that the strike “brought everyone together and the deal was done“.

According to Reuters, which quoted a White House spokesman, Trump reached an agreement with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on a ceasefire between the Jewish state and the Islamic Republic during a telephone conversation on June 23. Direct and indirect consultations on this issue with Iranian representatives were held by US Vice President J. D. Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio and the US leader's special envoy Stephen Witkoff. Reuters also reported, citing an Iranian official, that Tehran had agreed to the US proposal for a ceasefire, brokered by Qatar.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu asked officials after a cabinet meeting not to comment on reports of a ceasefire agreement with Iran, Israeli television channel N12 reported.

The Israel Defense Forces recorded six rocket volleys from Iranian territory on June 24. One of the rockets hit a residential building in the southern Israeli city of Beersheba. The death toll reached 4, with more than 20 injured.

In the Iranian province of Gilan in the northern part of the Islamic Republic, at least 9 people were killed and 33 injured after an Israeli attack on the morning of June 24.

According to US Vice President J. D. Vance, the US hopes that Tehran will not restore its nuclear program.

Earlier, the director of the International Atomic Energy Agency, Rafael Grossi, reported that as a result of the bombings, damage was recorded at the Iranian nuclear facilities in Natanz and Isfahan. So far, the agency has not recorded any serious radiation effects.

On the night of June 22, the US armed forces attacked three Iranian nuclear facilities - in Fordow, Natanz and Isfahan. On the evening of June 23, Tehran launched a missile strike on the largest US air base in the Middle East, the Al-Udeid air base in Qatar. According to US authorities, there were no casualties and no significant damage was caused.
