The Israeli army announced today that seven soldiers were killed during fighting in the southern Gaza Strip, the „Reuters“ agency reported, quoted by BTA.
In a separate incident that occurred last night also in southern Gaza, one soldier was seriously wounded, the official army statement said.
According to information from AFP, the army has published the identities of six of the dead - all aged between 19 and 21. They served in a brigade that specializes in destroying tunnels and other military infrastructure, as well as clearing mines and providing passageways for infantry and armored units during battles. The name of the seventh deceased has not yet been released.
Since the start of the war in the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023, more than 430 Israeli soldiers have been killed.
