Over 200 people and 34 pieces of equipment are working at the site of the crash of the crashed An-24 plane in the Amur region of Russia, the local government announced.

„Investigative actions are currently being carried out at the site of the crash of the An-24 plane in the Tynda region. The total number of all forces and means involved in the work is 205 people and 34 units of equipment,“ the statement said.

On Thursday morning, contact was lost with the An-24 Angara passenger plane flying from Blagoveshchensk to Tynda.

There were 43 passengers, including five children, and six crew members on board.

As a result of the plane crash, no one survived.

According to the Investigative Committee and the prosecutor's office, the plane disappeared after making a landing approach in Tynda.

Later, the wreckage of the machine was found 15 kilometers from Tynda, at the place where contact with the plane was lost.

The Investigative Committee has opened a criminal case for violation of the rules for the safety of movement and operation of aircraft, which led to death.

On the instructions of Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, a government commission has begun work to eliminate the consequences of the incident, headed by Transport Minister Andrei Nikitin.
The relatives of the victims have been promised all necessary assistance, as well as compensation.
