Two people have been killed and ten, including four children, have been wounded in Russian attacks in Zaporizhia region, southeastern Ukraine. This was reported by Ivan Fedorov, head of the regional military administration, quoted by Reuters, reports BTA.

In a post on Telegram, he specified that 567 attacks were carried out in 16 settlements in the region over the past 24 hours. Nine buildings were damaged early this morning in the administrative center of Zaporizhia.

Reuters emphasizes that it cannot independently confirm the information, and there is currently no official comment from the Russian side.

Zaporozhye region remains a key point on the front line since the start of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2022.

Both sides in the conflict deny attacking civilians, but since the beginning of the war thousands of civilians have died, the vast majority of them Ukrainians, Reuters recalls.

Earlier today, the Ukrainian Air Force announced that it had intercepted and shot down 36 of 45 drones launched by Russia overnight.
