The automaker has decided to apply the new Neue Klasse design language to all its models - electric cars, hybrids and cars with classic internal combustion engines.
This was stated by BMW Group Design Director Adrian van Hooydonk. However, he added that there may be "some proportional differences in the exterior and some minor interior differences" between EVs and conventional cars, but the overall style will be the same.
However, the company says all models will retain their own character and identity. BMW will equip the potential new cars with a new infotainment system and high-tech user experience, including the BMW Panoramic Vision head-up display.
Also, all BMWs will use fabrics made from recycled materials. According to rumors, the first cars with the new collective design will debut in 2026.
We are talking about the new X5, which will be available in both hybrid and PHEV and EV versions. At the same time, the first Neue Klasse electric car - the iX3 - will be presented next year.
