Swiss authorities have further frozen the financial assets of the Russian Federation for 580 million Swiss francs (about 636 million USD) in 2023, the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs said in a statement.
"During the reporting period, the commission, based on the results of its own investigation and after detailed explanations from the banks, froze additional financial assets of the Russian Federation in the amount of 580 million Swiss francs. In addition, two new real estate properties have been blocked, the document noted. Now a total of 17 real estates are frozen in the confederation, the secretariat explained.
In addition, Swiss authorities further froze other Russian assets, including "sports and luxury cars, works of art, furniture and musical instruments owned by sanctioned individuals and entities in Switzerland".
