European gas price rose 3% at the open on Wednesday after Iran's massive missile attack against Israel, according to data on the London Stock Exchange ICE.

The price of November futures at the TTF center in the Netherlands increased to USD 460.6 per 1000 cubic meters or EUR 40.27 per MWh (based on the current EUR/USD exchange rate, ICE prices are presented in euros per MWh).

Earlier, the Tasnim news agency reported that Iranian missiles had hit gas platforms near the city of Ashkelon in southwestern Israel. At the same time, the American Chevron (one of the largest players on the Israeli shelf) told TASS that due to the situation in Israel, the company temporarily stopped the Leviathan and "Tamar" gas platforms as a precautionary measure, but the equipment and personnel were not harmed.
