Kremena Ilieva: I was informed that my order would not be extended - 1

I was appointed back in 2001 as a forensic expert and for all these 25 years I have been solely an expert, said Senior Commissioner Kremena Ilieva, who until recently held the position of director of the National Institute of Forensic Science at the Ministry of Interior, at a hearing in parliament. Ilieva said that she has climbed the ladder of professional growth, working for 10 years in the Fifth Regional Directorate, in the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Interior and reaching the National Institute of Forensic Science for the last 12 years, where in the last year, by order of the minister, she was temporarily appointed director of the institute.

This order actually expired on March 23 and after a conversation with the relevant deputy minister, I was informed that the order would not be extended and that no analysis and evaluation of the work I did this year had been carried out, said Senior Commissioner Ilieva. But for me, as a professional, the real assessment, the final assessment that a person, a leader can receive, are the thanks, which during this year were numerous both to me personally and to the entire team that stood by me unwaveringly, said Ilieva.

These thanks were from 28 directors of regional directorates from all over the country, as well as from many prosecutors, judges, investigators, from representatives of law enforcement and judicial authorities, who are also our main clients of expert studies, continued Senior Commissioner Ilieva. She said that over these 25 years she has also gained the trust of many of her colleagues from both the Sofia City Court and appellate judges, including and by Acting Minister Dechev in his capacity as a judge of the Sofia City Court.

She thanked her colleagues from the National Institute of Forensic Science - those who worked on "the complicated "Okolchitsa-Petrohan" case, as well as the employees who have proven their professionalism from the "Administrative" and "International Projects" sectors, BTA reported.
