An elderly woman from Walchedrum died after being bitten by a dog, the police said.
On June 8, a report was filed by a 54-year-old man. He reported that he found his 85-year-old mother in her home with a leg wound.
The woman said she was bitten by a dog on the city street. Despite the medical assistance provided, the woman died.
The body was transported to the Montana hospital for an autopsy. In the case, swabs were taken by a veterinarian and actions are being taken to establish the ownership of the animal.
The municipality of Walchedrum has been notified to take measures to secure and house the animal until the investigation is completed.
