Alexander Marinov: A powerful political force will emerge. If it is not the president, it will be something else - 1

"A new powerful political force will appear in Bulgaria, from which society needs. One around which to form a new type of government. If it's not the president, it will be something else."

This opinion was expressed in an interview for BNR by political scientist Prof. Alexander Marinov.

Personalized expectations are aimed at the president, he believes.

"At the moment this seems the most logical. If something new, a strong, powerful start is going to emerge, it must be around him. However, I'm not sure it won't be something else new."

Prof. Marinov, who before the vote openly supported Kuzman Iliev's "Bulgaria can" formation, explained that "things must appear, be tested, gradually gain strength, it will not happen suddenly".

The political scientist pointed out that Rumen Radev is not behind "Solidary Bulgaria" and added that "the eyes of fear are big".

"The president is not involved in behind-the-scenes deals that other people are masters of," Marinov stressed.

A huge problem is the huge drop in voter turnout - no one could catch that. Second paradox – the winners have lost at least 100,000 votes, commented Alexander Marinov in the program "Above all".

"If you line up 10 dwarfs, the second dwarf is 2 cm taller than the third, that does not make it a giant."

Regarding the number of votes for each of the parties in the National Assembly, Prof. Marinov noted:

"Let it not turn out that we will expect a stable government from political forces that represent 10% of Bulgarian citizens."

"Even if a government is formed, it will be worse than the last story with the assembly. There is no way this composition of the political system can radiate a stable, functioning government. New ones must appear who have confidence. This will happen", predicts the political scientist.

"Majesty" it may be something that expresses a more permanent trend, suggested Prof. Marinov. According to him, the new political power is "a huge surprise for those who had decided in advance what the results would be and did not want to look away".
