There are no surprises in the cabinet thus proposed by GERB. Around this opinion, they united in the studio of “Face to Face” political analysts Lyubomir Stefanov, Georgi Harizanov and Hristo Panchugov.
„ I see no surprise in the proposed ministers – these are people from the first two ranks of GERD. The message is clear. Borisov said: “Here are your experts”. They have a successful political career behind them. Yes, like all people in politics, they also have failures, because there are practically no perfect people”, commented Lyubomir Stefanov, the ministers proposed by GERB.
According to him, Borisov has clearly stated that he is ready to bear the political responsibility for this government. At the same time, however, the GERB leader has shown that there is also continuity with the naming of names that are not purely party-related – such as Georgi Gvozdeikov and Kalin Stoyanov.
„The last two years the situation was abnormal. Do you remember what shenanigans we went through?! This is now a normal thing – the leader of the first political force in the parliament goes to the president with a prime minister sent by her, who returns his mandate fulfilled. I am glad that we have returned to the normal political order“, said Georgi Harizanov.
He thinks that “dumb ideas“ for an expert government fortunately they have not happened. According to him, the proposed government has bright political names who are also experts in their field.
“We never determined whose figure is Interior Minister Kalin Stoyanov. But beyond that – yes, we have seen this cabinet and there are no surprises. What is perhaps surprising to a certain extent is the desire for this cabinet to be packaged as one that seeks clear support”, commented Hristo Panchugov.
He sees two signs. First – Borisov does not want a cabinet only with the support of the DPS, and he would not voluntarily enter such a scenario. Second – he is probably making a last ditch effort to include the PP-DB in this conversation about a regular government.
