The Ministry of Internal Affairs will act uncompromisingly and quickly in the event of election violations. There will be no "ala-bala" with the machines. This was stated by acting Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev at the National Assembly in connection with the upcoming early vote, quoted by Nova TV.
"The organizer of the elections and the one who conducts them is the CEC and all election commissions. The claims that the Ministry of Internal Affairs is responsible for this are strange. The bodies of the executive power implement the material base," he added.
According to him, it is clear for both the caretaker government and the Ministry of the Interior that fair and transparent elections must be ensured. "We must take care of the normal course of the process. During elections, there is also the hypothesis of buying votes, but we all know that this is part of the Penal Code. So there, the Ministry of the Interior works together with the prosecutor's office," Glavchev also said.
The Prime Minister was categorical that the work of the Ministry of Internal Affairs is quite serious.
