Earlier today, an accident occurred at the air base with a L–39 ZA combat training aircraft, the Ministry of Defense informed. The incident happened during preparations for tomorrow's demonstrations. An investigation is currently underway.
Measures have been taken to localize the fires as a result of the incident and establish its causes, the Ministry of Defense said.
Official Minister of Defense Atanas Zapryanov canceled the air show at the Third Aviation Base "Graf Ignatievo" because of the crash.
