Col. Milenski: It is unacceptable to use fighter pilots on demonstration flights at extremely low altitudes - 1

What are the versions of the accident at the “Graf Ignatievo“ airbase? and who is responsible for the tragic incident commented the military expert and teacher at the military academy Prof. Dimitar Nedyalkov and Col. Vladimir Milenski in “Hello, Bulgaria”.
„We are losing Bulgarian soldiers because of a critical mass of mistakes accumulated over the past 35 years. "These are heavy losses," said Prof. Nedyalkov and added that the visible spectrum of these problems is the crash with the L-39 training plane, in which two Bulgarian pilots died. The teacher indicated that two versions are being worked on – technical malfunction and human error. "What I saw as records - the failure of the technique is possible," he said, adding that if the information from the black box is well preserved, the reasons for the tragic accident will become clear. "The plane has come out of KVR, from capital repair, control and recovery repair. Sometimes such things happen after similar repairs," Prof. Nedyalkov also said.
Col. Milenski said that „we have probably a dozen such prepared pilots of this level”. „Three years ago we lost a MiG-29 pilot. Then we raised many questions from the Atlantic Council. No one gave answers. There are no answers here. They are owed by the political class and the military high command”, said the colonel.

„It is inadmissible to use fighter pilots on demonstration flights at extremely low altitudes”, Milenski also believes. Nedyalkov disagreed with this thesis, as “ such air shows are held all over the world”. And he added that the aero clubs have been destroyed in Bulgaria.

Milenski said that the senior military staff bears their responsibilities, and Nedyalkov added: "Not only him."
