Prof. Antoineta Hristova: The formula for a prime minister who is equidistant from all parties is impossible - 1

The state is a victim of previous mistakes of politicians. Prof. Antoineta Hristova, a political psychologist, expressed this opinion to the BNR.

"Society is desperate, it doesn't see a way out, it doesn't see an alternative. It feels trapped. The problem with our system is that political parties and political leaders have spun so much in a centrifuge that they are now trapped as well. ... Politicians are extremely dependent on the many mistakes of their previous administrations. These mistakes tie their hands in their freedom of choice because they have to defend themselves. Then you have no way out. Self-defense limits you and makes you dependent. This means that the whole country is now a victim of their former mistakes.
In her words, when there is a hypothesis that someone has past violations that can be brought up as charges, "your threat is not just about someone who could bring those facts out, it's about many different parties, where the attack may come from, therefore one had better stoop to pass the storm if it may pass":

"My assessment is that right now the storm is almost impossible to pass because no one is offering an alternative".

In the show "Something more" Prof. Antoineta Hristova predicted extreme instability in the state and emphasized:

"We have to think about what we do after the New Year".
According to her, mistrust in Bulgaria has acquired huge proportions:

"On the basis of this enormous mistrust, which has carved oceans between individual political leaders, it is not possible to make any form of government or agreement.

As impossible, Prof. Hristova defined the formula for a prime minister equidistant from all parties, an authoritative figure, recognizable and having public trust, whatever proposal they have from the PP-DB coalition:

"Any prime minister on whom the political forces would settle will be recognized by one or the other, in accordance with its policies and interests. Bulgaria is a small country. All of the more famous people we've met, had coffee with, or worked with someone. This means that there is no one who can be declared as independent as they are presented by PP-DB.

She expressed concern that "the war between the two DPS may be carried over to the 51st National Assembly".
According to Prof. Hristova, the basic concepts and values of democracy are not spoken or understood by society at all, and even less so by political players.
