Kalfin: North Macedonia has nothing to apologize for. They are making a problem out of something small - 1

Macedonia is making a problem out of something small. Both the president and the government got off to a rough start. It is not mandatory to put up their flag during an unofficial visit. Former Foreign Minister Ivaylo Kalfin said this on bTV, quoted by novini.bg. He also added:
"Bulgaria has nothing to apologize to North Macedonia for."

Bulgaria has an agreement with its neighbor, we are in a good position, Kalfin added.

According to him, it is a fact that there is tension between Bulgaria and the Republic of North Macedonia. It is important for Bulgaria to have good relations with its neighbors, but in the Balkans, national themes are used to make an election campaign, Kalfin also commented.
We remind you that, according to the RSM government, there was a protocol error due to a missing flag during Radev's informal meeting with his Macedonian colleague Gordana Siljanovska.

Yesterday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade in Skopje summoned the Ambassador of Bulgaria to North Macedonia, Zhelyazko Radukov, and the message from the institution says that during the meeting, "concern was expressed about the deviation from the agreed protocol regarding of photographing the presidents” Gordana Silyanovska and Rumen Radev, during their meeting in Sofia last Friday, and additional clarification was requested from the Bulgarian side.
