We continue our efforts to eliminate potential opportunities to distort people's votes. The goal is to increase the trust of voters and their confidence that their vote will not go to waste. This was stated by acting Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev at the beginning of the regular meeting of the Council of Ministers, quoted by BNT.
Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev recalled that together with Minister Ivan Kondov they participated in the summit for the future in New York this week.
"The topic was started already in 2021 by Secretary General Antonio Guterres and it has the working title "Multilateral solutions for a better tomorrow". And the idea is to bring both global and international institutions into the case of the realities, i.e. with institutions being able to act more effectively to solve people's problems. Especially at this meeting, since it is about the UN, there were also specific proposals to bring even the Security Council in line with the realities. President Radev took part in the UN General Assembly and I think he is even there , is still there. This shows Bulgaria's serious attitude towards international issues. But I think that from there we can transfer this topic to Bulgaria as well. More effective work of the institutions so that Bulgarian citizens can feel that they exist. There has been a lot of talk lately about whether or not there is a country. Well, it depends on everyone whether there is a country or not. Not only from the official government", the prime minister emphasized.
