The state will provide nearly half a million BGN per year for measures to combat domestic violence. This is foreseen by the national program for prevention and protection from domestic violence until 2026, BNR reports.
The program includes measures that must be taken by all responsible institutions for the prevention and protection of domestic violence.
Several measures are planned - training of judicial authorities, employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, educational institutions, medical specialists and social workers, as well as the holding of information campaigns and seminars with the aim of prevention.
Until 2026, the state plans to grant financial assistance of BGN 450,000 per year for social, psychological and legal consultations, for specialized programs for the recovery and protection of victims or witnesses of domestic violence. /p>
The state will finance special programs for social and psychological work with perpetrators of domestic violence to overcome aggression and deal with anger.
