The delegates of the 77th regular reporting-election meeting of the Bulgarian Medical Union elected with 252 votes Dr. Nikolay Brunzalov as the Chairman of the State Organization. The other candidate, Dr. Asen Medjidiev, received 151 votes, reported the press center of the Bulgarian Medical Union, quoted by Nova TV.
Dr. Nikolay Brunzalov is a graduate of the Medical University in Plovdiv. He has a specialty in internal medicine and general medicine, as well as a master's degree in Health Management. General practitioner for 24 years.
From June 2018 until now, in two consecutive mandates, he is the vice-chairman of the Management Board of the Bulgarian Medical Union. Dr. Brunzalov is vice-chairman of the Metropolitan Medical College and vice-chairman of the National Association of General Practitioners.
The meeting continues with the election of vice-presidents, General Secretary, members of the Management Board, the Control Commission and the Central Commission on Professional Ethics. The forum is held in Plovdiv.
