Albania and North Macedonia were separated in the negotiation process with the European Union (EU).„I saw that Viktor Orban promised help to the Macedonians to settle their dispute with Bulgaria. After failing in his European and world politics, Orbán tried to compensate for this by becoming a regional factor in the Balkans in order to appear as a strong politician, he commented in the program “In focus with Laura Krumova” the diplomat and writer Prof. Kiril Topalov.
According to him, Moscow does not want to create a community in the Balkans that would support and oppose Russian policy.
According to him, the international community has quite carefully observed how Bulgaria wants to help North Macedonia to become a member of the EU “North Macedonia is doing everything possible to prevent this from happening. The Macedonians don't want or, more precisely, they don't give them”, Prof. Topalov added.
„Good is not done by force. When you see that your younger, underage brother is taking irregular steps, despite your attempts to save him, you finally leave him to save himself”, explained the diplomat on the occasion of our country's efforts to help North Macedonia.
According to him, until now in history classes, children in Macedonia learn that Turks, Tatars and Mongols live on the territory of Bulgaria. “Bulgaria did everything possible to give the Republic of North Macedonia the opportunity to move towards the EU, but the Macedonians do not want”, added Prof. Topalov.
