“The draft budget for 2025 as it is made is unworkable. Even if they vote for it, it will be able to be implemented maybe in one quarter. After that, some adjustments would be necessary. From this point of view, it is a provocation that should prevent the formation of a government“, commented in “This Morning“ on bTV financier Levon Hampartzumyan.
In his words, if this draft budget is adopted, “we should kiss the dream of the euro goodbye and stop dealing with it“.
“We are currently in a procedure that will end in disaster“, added Hampartzumyan.
In his words, a more realistic draft budget should be made, which is feasible and which can comply with the strategic goals not of this finance ministry, but in the strategic development of the state in the future.
According to former Social and Economic Minister Lydia Shuleva, she has nothing good to say about this budget and agreed with Levon Hampartzumyan that it is a provocation.
“The 3-year framework is worrying because it means the end of the country's fiscal stability. This means an attack on the board. The entire three-year framework with an increase in expenditure ceilings above 40% and all expectations for an increase in the deficit are a violation of fiscal stability, which has existed for more than 25 years,“ explained Shuleva.
In her words, this budget is a mirror of the irresponsible behavior of deputies in parliament before elections.
According to her, a decision should be made by the National Assembly to reject it.
“In the remaining working days of the parliament, an extension of the existing budget should be voted on“, is the opinion of Lidiya Shuleva.
“This hole, which will form if all these things are implemented, means raising taxes and social security contributions for people who are currently regular payers. Next year, there will be no income amnesty and the budget must be filled. The 3-year forecast foresees an increase in taxes and social security contributions, so we need to be aware of what this will lead to,“ explained Shuleva.
