Boyko Borisov said yesterday that social benefits will not be touched. This will be a socially sparing budget. In order to fill the hole in public finances, either a loan must be taken out or pensions will have to be frozen. The latter is politically inconvenient. This was commented on bTV's Budget 2025 broadcast by sociologist Andrey Raichev, quoted by novini.bg
"How will Bulgaria give up the euro now? Either with an open declaration or with an excuse that we do not meet the criteria. GERB officially cannot give up because of their image in Europe", added Petko Georgiev, journalist.
And he believes that the euro "will happen" a little later.
"There is also a political undercover contingent that does not want us to enter the eurozone", Georgiev revealed.
"GERB is afraid of the electorate, which counts pennies", believes Raichev.
