Ahmed Dogan lost!

The PG of the DPS stood behind the chairman of the party Delyan Peevski and expelled Ramadan Atalai from its ranks with a full majority.

In numerical terms, it is 45:2 for Peevski.

Thus, the DPS group of 47 parliamentarians became 45, and Ramadan Atalai followed the fate of Shumen deputy Aysel Rufad, who was expelled a few days ago. Both are said to be very close to Ahmed Dogan.

The Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly, Rositsa Kirova, read a little while ago a decision from a meeting of the DPS parliamentary group, which was held this morning, and at which the group excluded Ramadan Atalay from its composition.

During the voting, 44 MPs were "for", without "against". and "abstained".

It remains to be seen whether Atalay will remain an independent deputy or leave the 50th National Assembly.

Three days ago, the regional structure of the DPS in Plovdiv withdrew its political trust from Ramadan Atalay due to weak election results and called on the parliamentary group to exclude him from its ranks.

„The withdrawal of confidence from Mr. Ramadan Atalay is a decision of the regional structure. This is all that is happening in the Plovdiv region – in all structures, is based on everything that has been happening since he came as a candidate for parliament and became one five times with the votes of the people who supported him here", said Yuksel Rasim, head of the DPS in Plovdiv.

And called "this time the chairman Delyan Peevski will hear us – people want change, they want young people".

Early this morning on BTV Ramadan Atalay released an email to the Honorary Chairman

Ahmed Dogan, with which he orders the PG of the DPS "not to support the government”.

Atalai admitted that the PG colleagues will not accept the visionary's arguments and proposal.

However, this did not happen - the group did not support the "visionary", but the "new beginning" Peevski.

Let's remember that already on December 17, 2015, during the traditional Christmas-New Year's dinner at the DPS base in "Boyana", Ahmed Dogan criticized his people for turning the DPS into a corporate party, focused the guests' attention on the phenomenon of “local feudal lords”. He even threatened to close the party.

In his address on January 3 of this year, the honorary chairman again raised the topic of the “corporate party”.

Taking over the DPS, Peevski announced a "new beginning", which also means a break with corrupt practices. The DPS became a second political force, but it was seen that too many former voters did not return to the electoral army because of the feudal lords and the “paratroopers” in the leaves.

"The new beginning for DPS is a fact. Whoever does not understand it remains in the past.

For us, the most important thing is the voice of the people and the will of the structures. In the elections, we showed that we can listen to the people and they gave us their trust”, Peevski said two days ago at a meeting with the mayors of the Movement.

More on Turkyan fountain m.y. Peevski signaled that the DPS elite had distanced itself from the people and that it would not tolerate deribes on the voters' backs, and energetically set a pace of work that was difficult for many to maintain.

"The DPS must return to you. Because the honorary chairman Dr. Ahmed Dogan said something a year ago that many did not understand – “return the connection with our people, we lost it somewhere in the last 10 years”, said Peevski.

And Ramadan Atalay is a representative of exactly this elite in the DPS, which quite skillfully materialized its presence in politics on the backs of the DPS voters...

A deputy from the 38th National Assembly to the current 50th National Assembly, over the years, Atalay's name has been involved in a series of scandals related to conflicts of interest and the smell of corruption. Their visible dimension can be traced in his property declarations before the anti-corruption commission. It is evident from them that in 10 years his balances in bank accounts have grown 5 times – from BGN 136,930 in 2013 (since the commission's online public register existed) to more than half a million as of today, writes "24 hours".

And his son Revin Atalay already at the beginning of the century ranked among the major businessmen in the country and developed an impressive business from transport through the real estate market to biofuels, and according to media publications - also in the RES sector.

Transportation is actually the beginning. In 2002, at only 21 years old, Revin Atalai was already a partner in the company “Ivkoni” to the creators of the mastodon company for the Bulgarian reality “Union Ivkoni” Ivaylo Konstantinov and Svetlozar Lyubenov. At that time, his father Ramadan was a deputy in the 39th National Assembly, vice-chairman of the energy commission and a member of the transport commission, as well as an introducer of bills related to this branch.

As the main co-sponsor of projects precisely related to road transport, Atalay is regularly attacked for lobbying texts and appointments in the sector. In 2015, his son left “Ivkoni”.

At the same time, Atalay the father - apparently from the archive of the parliament - reduced his interest in transport legislation, focusing mainly on energy. In the context of the topic, one cannot help but get the impression that not only Revin, but also people associated with his business ventures have prospered over the years.

This is the case, for example, with the company "Atomtoploproekt" registered in 2001, focused on "design, analysis and supply of equipment in the field of nuclear energy".

According to the company registers, Petra Ivanova was a partner in it until 2011, who appears as a person related to Revin Atalai through his company “Prometex 90”. To date, according to the Register of Public Procurement, the company appears in 31 procurements for millions of BGN, with contracting municipalities (among them Sofia), as well as the “Kozloduy” NPP.

The first order won by the company was in 2007 and was for BGN 740,000 for the design of technological plugs specifically for units 5 and 6 of the Kozloduy NPP. At this moment, Ramadan Atalay is the chairman of the energy commission in the 40th National Assembly.

According to the Commercial Register, the son enters and exits different companies according to the situation on the market and in parliament

For example, enter “Ivconi Union” in 2002 and very soon after that, the company began to massively win the permits for the transport of passengers on the main and most profitable intercity lines in Bulgaria. In just a few years “Ivconi Union” became the largest Bulgarian bus carrier and entered the international market.
Revin Atalay is no longer a partner in the companies surrounding the bus carrier, but according to the Commercial Register he still has 50% in the “Contact Center” Ltd. - a company established in 2013 to build and operate a call center for the needs of "Union Ivkoni" customers.

In 2017, he founded with Blagovest Kodjabashev the company “Riverside Hotels” Ltd., which is the owner of a boutique hotel in Bansko. At the end of last year, however, the company was sold to a Macedonian citizen.

From 2016 onwards, the son's business has been redirected and prospered mainly in the field of energy. Since then, Ramadan Atalay has been first a member, then vice-chairman, and at the same time chairman of the energy committee in various parliaments.

Currently, Revin Atalai has a 50% stake in “Prometex - 90” Ltd. The company's activity is focused on the construction of renewable energy capacities and heating and electrical installations.

Owns 20% of “Balkan Gas” Ltd. He is also the sole owner of the capital of “Arrat Consulting” Ltd.

Also holds half of “Bass Tex” Ltd. - a company with diverse activities, established in 2007 in Plovdiv. Her name has appeared in several public contracts in recent years for the supply of specific equipment to scientific institutes and government departments, although for relatively small amounts - 20 to 50 thousand BGN.

In other companies, Ramadan Atalay's son is listed only as a manager or a member of the board of directors.

He is a member of the board, for example, of the construction company “Stroyproekt Group”, in which the main partner is Todor Slavkov, the son of Ivan Slavkov. But the company has been submitting declarations to the NSI for several years that it does not have any activity.

This brief history of the family's business prosperity actually describes what Bulgarians hate in our political class - the hypocrisy of standing in parliament and lobbying for businesses in which you have a personal interest.
