"I am extremely proud and happy to take on the great responsibility of serving as executive director of CSKA. We have clearly set goals and tasks before us. First of all - a European team and European results.
To build our European home. To build a children's and youth school as an infrastructure according to modern European methodology. Let's create the new Hristo Stoichkov, Dimitar Berbatov, Stiliyan. To be proud of them in our team, and then in the national team and in the European championships. Not just athletes, but people. The training base in Pancharevo as well.
I am fully aware of how difficult the task before us is. I'm not naive. Anyone who thinks that a wizard will come and restore the glory of our great team with one touch is a fool. This is not possible. In recent years, we have not performed at the level that CSKA deserves. CSKA cannot be viewed only in the context of its own performance. We are winners, more is expected of us. Yes, it is difficult, it cannot be done in a month or two years, but we have to build the solid foundations. They are built by many different specialists, with different skills. We need them to be the best.
CSKA is an institution! It stands firmly on four main big pillars - legends, history, infrastructure and army values like morale, often, kindness.
With the help of the entire red community, all of us, we will support the foundations and elevate CSKA to where it deserves. We will be proactive in sharing openly what is happening with our favorite team. I have transformed huge companies and I have no doubt in our success", said Zlatkov.
