On whether a foreigner should be a national team coach:
"We do not decide where we will be born. Mom and Dad decide and nine months later we are born. I didn't decide to be Catalan, just like you didn't decide to be English. The federation decided to bet on a manager with great achievements. My opinion is that I would support it unconditionally. If he wins, he will be praised, if he loses, he will be criticized. But his nationality doesn't matter at all. I don't like someone being criticized just because they were born in a different place.
On whether he has already made a decision about his future and whether the club has set a deadline:
"I've already said many times that I haven't made up my mind yet. I will let you know when I get it. My priority is Wolves and how my players have returned from the national teams. That's my only concern.
The club never told me when they wanted me to tell them my decision. Of course, I'm pretty sure the club has options when Pep leaves. Sooner or later it will happen and they need to prepare. It won't be a surprise. If the club asks me for an opinion on my successor, I will give one. But it's not my decision, it's the club's. I would say that the new sporting director should choose the new manager now that I'm no longer here.
On Chickie Begiristain leaving:
"A part of me is leaving. Besides being my friend, he is the architect who created one of the best teams in Barcelona, now and here. I've known about this decision for quite some time.
