The Russian army is changing the tactics of the massive missile attacks against Ukraine. This was stated by the Ukrainian military-political analyst Dmitry Snegirev on the air of the FREEDOM TV channel.
"Look at the frequency of missile strikes – four massive missile attacks for March. At the same time, the strikes are aimed specifically at the enterprises of the energy system, as soon as the Ukrainian emergency services begin to neutralize the consequences of the previous strike. That is, [energy workers] try to restore them, and the next day a second strike is made on the same facilities”, he noted.
Snegirev emphasized that the supplies of transformers are not unlimited and the Russians know this well. Apparently, that is why Russia is "giving time for recovery and then, I am not afraid to curse it, the Russian side will use tactics of mass attacks against the energy infrastructure“.
At the same time, the expert noted that Russia's military doctrine prescribes preventive strikes on the enemy's energy infrastructure. The purpose of such attacks is to force the opponent to surrender.
"Therefore, they will not deviate from their military doctrine, and the task of the Ukrainian side and the President of Ukraine is to convince the Western countries to provide the necessary amount of air defense systems as soon as possible, as Volodymyr Zelensky stated. We have a critical need for Patriot and SAMP/T to neutralize the missile threat, including the use of "Zirkoni", Snegirev said.
