Russia is running out of armored vehicles. This is how the military analyst of the German newspaper BILD, Julian Röpke, explains a video from the Terni region of the Donetsk region, which shows how 24 soldiers get out of a Russian tank after a strike by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (VSU).
A similar video was shot in the village of Berdichi, west of Avdeevka. 12 infantrymen ride on the BMP-1. They progress on their own. The machine is hit by a drone and stops moving. The soldiers try to escape, but they all die. Röpke notes that infantry are "sent to their deaths in melee assaults” because there is no support, escape routes or evacuation of the wounded.
According to Röpke's calculations, between 100 and 200 Russian soldiers are now dying in Ukraine every day. In March, they lost 86 tanks and 260 armored vehicles. According to the BILD analyst, Russia may not have enough armored vehicles to transport soldiers. That's why he sends so many foot soldiers with every vehicle.
