Russian Su-57 in the sky! Ukraine will now issue an air alert - 1

Russia started to use X-69 missiles to attack Ukraine. The carriers of these missiles are Su-57 fighter jets, and their takeoff will trigger an airstrike warning throughout Ukraine.

According to preliminary estimates, Russia has up to 10 such fighters. This is what the military expert, director of development of the information and consulting company Defense Express Valery Ryabih spoke about on the air of the TV channel "Espresso".

"Russian Su-57 aircraft are carriers of X-69 missiles, as recent events have shown, it was the X-69 missile that hit the TPP. It is worth noting that the tactical and technical characteristics of these missiles expand the possibilities of the occupiers to attack the territory of Ukraine, therefore the takeoff of Su-57 aircraft in Russia will lead to an air attack warning throughout Ukraine. Fortunately, today the Russians have a small number of such missiles”, said the expert.

At the same time, he noted that in 2023, the Russians produced only three such aircraft.

"The Su-57 aircraft, which in Russia is called a 5th generation fighter, is actually a transitional type aircraft, indeed the Russians are trying to bring it to the 5th generation, but they lack the technology. The Russian Federation may have up to 10 such aircraft. It is known that in 2022 6 units were produced, and in 2023 the occupiers managed to produce only 3. Therefore, it is likely that a similar rate of Su-57 production is connected with the exclusion of the Russians from a certain component base“, Valery Ryabih concluded.

According to data from open sources, the Su-57 made its first flight at the end of January 2010. Russia accepted it into service in 2018, and on December 25, 2020, the Russian Air Force received the first serial fighter.

The crew of this aircraft consists of 1 person. The combat radius is 2,000 kilometers, and the flight range is 4,500 kilometers. As for the dimensions of the Su-57 fighter, its length is 19.7 meters, the height – 4.8 meters, and the wingspan – 14 meters.
