Russia will not be able to rely on the reliability of a possible agreement with Ukraine or on Western guarantees, therefore it considers "Iskanderi", "Zirkoni", "Dagger" and other weapons for the best guarantee, Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev told TASS.
"Even if some compromise agreement is reached, we will not have full confidence in its implementation, I have said this many times, every newly minted "Fuhrer" of the Ukrainian Reich is capable of breaking it for economic reasons at any moment“, he outlined the situation.
Medvedev noted that in this case "no Western guarantees will help”. "Yes, they won't give them to us. Therefore, the best guarantees for the future are "Sarmatians", "Iskanders", "Daggers". and other highly effective Russian weapons and, of course, combat-capable Russian forces”, he concluded.
Russian President Vladimir Putin has previously emphasized that Russia has never refused negotiations, unlike the Ukrainian side. But since Moscow has been duped repeatedly, it must now consider "with whom and how to work” and how much who can be trusted.
Putin indicated that the agreements should be based on the draft Istanbul agreements of 2022, but take into account today's realities. The Kremlin has also repeatedly noted that the Russian Federation will negotiate on its own terms and will not accept attempts to impose rules on it.
