On the night of Monday, February 3, an unknown drone violated the airspace of Moldova, local media reported, citing information from NewsMaker, quoted by Focus.
According to the message, an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) flew over several settlements in the country, and the violation was detected and tracked by the airspace control systems of the National Army of Moldova. The violation was registered in the interval between 00:30 and 00:45.
The trajectory of the drone was as follows: via Pavlovka (Ukraine) - the village of Karmanova - the town of Mayak - the town of Grigoriopol. It then left Moldovan airspace along the same route.
This is not the first violation of Moldovan airspace by drones since the beginning of the war in Ukraine. Similar incidents have been recorded periodically, especially during large-scale shelling of Ukraine.
Earlier, on November 10, 2024, two other drones were found in Moldova that were linked to Russian attacks. At that time, the Moldovan Foreign Ministry strongly condemned Russia's actions, and the Ukrainian Air Force explained that some of the drones had deviated from their course and ended up in Belarus and Moldova.
Drone incidents did not stop in 2024 - at the end of the year, passersby found a drone near a shopping mall in the capital, Chisinau.
