The US plans to replace Zelensky with Zaluzhny, Russia's Foreign Intelligence Service said - 1

The United States sees the former commander-in-chief of the Ukrainian army Valery Zaluzhny as " the most suitable candidate" to replace the current Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, the Foreign Intelligence Service of Russia (SVR) announced.

"Having outlived "usefulness" of Zelensky and realizing the futility of hopes for a "strategic defeat of Russia", the White House will not hesitate to throw him into the dustbin of history and replace him with one of the Ukrainian politicians, which will be acceptable for negotiations with Moscow for a peaceful settlement of the conflict", the service states.

According to Russia, Washington considers the former commander-in-chief of the armed forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny as the most suitable candidate.

Back in February, Zelensky fired Zaluzhny and appointed Alexander Sirsky in his place.

As the reason for the dismissal, the head of state pointed to the stagnation at the front and the need to "restart the generals". A day later, Zelensky awarded Zaluzhny with the Hero of Ukraine order.
