Russia blamed the United States for the Ukrainian shelling of Sevastopol, a city on the Crimean peninsula that Russia annexed. The attack led to the tragic death of at least three people and left over a hundred injured, Reuters reports. The Russian Ministry of Defense promised to respond to this aggression, BTA reports.
More details were announced by Rodion Miroshnik, special envoy of the Russian Foreign Ministry, during a broadcast of "Rossiya 24".
Mirošnik stressed that the promised response would include both military and legal measures, hinting at a complex strategy to deal with the incident.
Moscow claims the attack was carried out using ATAKMS missiles that were supplied by the United States.
