The Russian military frigate "Admiral Gorshkov", which sailed for Cuba earlier this month, conducted exercises in the Atlantic Ocean to detect submarines using a helicopter. This was announced by the Ministry of Defense of the country, quoted by "Reuters".
The helicopter crew "practiced tactical techniques for searching and tracking submarines in the Atlantic Ocean", the department said in "Telegram".
They added that at a distance of more than 50 kilometers from the ship, the pilots carried out a series of measures to search for the submarines.
A total of five ship deck landings were made.
The frigate "Admiral Gorshkov" and the nuclear submarine "Kazan" docked in Havana harbor on June 12 after conducting training on "high-precision missile weapons" in the Atlantic Ocean.
