And Romania will produce the Ukrainian Neptune missiles - 1

Romania following the example of other European countries plans to produce weapons in cooperation with Ukraine, focusing on anti-ship missiles “Neptune“. The missiles have been used since the beginning of the war, including when sinking the flagship of the Russian Black Sea Fleet “Moscow” in 2022. Unlike the French SCALP-EG air-launched missiles, the “Neptune“ are launched from the ground and can hit targets both on land and at sea within a radius of up to 400 km.

This was revealed by "Ukrinform", citing the defense information site Army Recognition.

Initial information that the Ukrainian defense industry is working to modernize the R-360 “Neptune” missiles appeared as early as April 2023, but there is no official information on the outcome of these efforts.

Romania wants to have Ukraine as an ally to control the waters of the Black Sea from its territory. According to the cited report, plans for a Romanian-Ukrainian partnership in the military industry refer to the post-war period.

Unlike the French SCALP-EG air-launched missiles, the “Neptune“ are launched from the ground and can hit targets both on land and at sea at a radius of up to 400 km. This ability gives them strategic importance in the current conflict. The missiles have been used since the beginning of the war, including when sinking the flagship of the Russian Black Sea Fleet “Moscow” in 2022

Potentially “Neptune“ it can compete with the US ATACMS, the only other weapon with a similar range used by Ukraine.
