The Serbian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Internal Affairs emphasized the strategic cooperation between the two countries, including in the field of security and the fight against crime, quoted by BTA.

Serbian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Internal Affairs Ivica Dacic pointed out today, at the beginning of her several-day visit to China, during which she met with Chinese Minister of Public Security Wang Xiaohong, that Beijing is one of the most important foreign policy partners of Serbia, reported the TANYUG agency.

„My visit to my colleague, the Minister of Public Security of China, is of great importance to both Serbia and the Ministry of Interior of Serbia. Today I spoke with Minister Wang Xiaohong about our relationship”, Dacic said.

He conveyed to Wang Xiaohong greetings from Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and emphasized the close ties between the two countries.

„Our friendship is based on the strategic agreement between President Xi Jinping and Aleksandar Vucic. Our task as two ministries is to cooperate in various spheres, whether it is about national security, securing certain projects in both countries, or about issues of transnational crime, that is, the fight against illegal migration. In this regard, we will continue our activities”, Dacic said.

He said that after the meeting with Minister Wang Xiaohong, he will travel by special train to Lianyungang, where the Global Forum on Public Security Cooperation is being held.

Many interior ministers will participate in this conference, including the head of Interpol, according to the Serbian interior ministry.

Dacic announced that he will try to have more bilateral meetings.

"After that, I will go to Guangzhou, where a joint training of special forces will take place. On our side, members of the Special Anti-Terrorist Squad will participate. We will also visit the mixed patrols," the minister announced.
