The US military announced that it carried out a strike in coordination with Iraqi security forces , as a result of which four leaders of the "Islamic State" group, including the head of operations in that country, died in western Iraq at the end of August, AFP reported, quoted by BTA.
„This operation was directed against the leaders of the “Islamic State” and disrupted and reduced the capabilities of the “Islamic State” to organize and conduct operations," the US military's Middle East Command (Centcom) said. It added that a total of 14 members of the “Islamic State” were killed in the strike on August 29.
