There are terror suspects among the refugees on the Island - 1

In Britain, the main contender for a new leader of the Conservative Party, Robert Jenrick, said that dozens of terror suspects had crossed the Channel in small boats.

Robert Jenrick is a former minister responsible for immigration. In an article in the "Sunday Telegraph" he indicates that individuals linked to the terrorist organizations Islamic State and "Al Qaeda" are among the arrivals claiming to be refugees.

"Sunday Telegraph" notes that what Jenrick said is the first time such information has been made public and comes after Prime Minister Keir Starmer scrapped a plan for Rwanda that would have seen those arriving in small boats across the English Channel deported to the African country.

Jenrick added that at least 1,000 people who arrived in small boats in the year before he became immigration minister in 2022 had been "linked to crime of all kinds". In the article, he warns that scrapping the deportation scheme in Rwanda has made Britain more vulnerable to terrorist attacks in the future. The former immigration minister believes Britain should leave the European Convention on Human Rights, blaming it for thwarting deportations.

A government source dismissed Jenrick's criticism, noting that record numbers of illegal migrants had arrived in Britain just as he was a minister and that it was time he and his cronies acknowledged that their party's failure had undermined Britain's border security.
