Resolving the conflict in Ukraine is impossible without eliminating of its root causes. This was stated by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov at a press conference following the results of participation in the high-level week of the 79th session of the UN General Assembly.
„Our position is very clear: the root causes must be eliminated. "Everyone knows about them," Lavrov said.
At the same time, the minister recalled another moment, which, according to him, no one mentions now, although Russian President Vladimir Putin has repeatedly drawn attention to it. “There is also a decree of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, which prohibits negotiations with Russia, so I can't even speculate how they will organize the process,“ noted the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
