US President-elect Donald Trump was convicted today in the hush money case, but the judge refused to impose a sentence, the Associated Press reported, BTA writes.
The verdict makes Trump a convicted felon just 10 days before he takes office as president, DPA notes.
In May, Trump was found guilty of illegally concealing a $130,000 hush money payment to a porn actress to boost his chances of doing well in the 2016 presidential election.
Trump's defense tried to postpone sentencing in the case, but the Supreme a US court rejected her request.
Trump will take office on January 20 in Washington.
Despite his conviction, Trump will have no problem returning to the White House because he is not in danger of serving a prison sentence or paying a fine.
