The Israel Defense Forces called on the residents of certain areas in the southern part of the Gaza Strip to evacuate to a humanitarian zone. The announcement was made by Israeli army official Avihai Edri.

„Hamas and other groups continue to carry out their terrorist activities in your areas. The Israeli army will act decisively against these elements. For your safety, immediately evacuate these areas to the humanitarian zone,”, Edri wrote in Arabic.
The situation in the Middle East deteriorated sharply on October 7, 2023, after the infiltration of Hamas fighters from the Gaza Strip into Israeli territory, accompanied by the killing of residents of border villages and the taking of hostages. In response, Israel declared a complete blockade of Gaza and began striking the enclave and certain areas of Lebanon and Syria.
