The Turkish authorities imposed a fine of nearly 14 thousand euros on a Bulgarian who tried to export from Turkey 1.2 tons of white mussels, reported the General Directorate of Fisheries and Aquaculture at the Turkish Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, BTA reported.
In the message published on the directorate's profile on the social network "Ex", it is stated that a Bulgarian citizen was fined 524,960 Turkish lira (13,977 euros) for attempting to illegally export 1,210 kg of live white mussels from the country.
Both the clams and the car were confiscated by the Turkish authorities.
