NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte said he was not worried that American support for Ukraine would end if Donald Trump were to become president of the United States again. The NATO Secretary General had a “good conversation” in London with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. Asked afterward about Trump's possible return to the White House, Rutte said he was not worried about U.S. support for Ukraine in the future and that he would work with President Joe Biden's successor, whoever that would be.

Regarding Ukraine's call for allies to allow long-range weapons supplied by the allies themselves to be used for attacks on targets in Russia, Rutte said it was up to individual countries to decide whether to grant permission.
