Ukraine armed forces this night shot down 24 of 28 drones with which Russia attacks Ukraine, Ukrainian news agency Ukrinform reported, quoted by BTA.
Ukrinform refers to a statement by the Air Force of Ukraine in the communication application “Telegram”.
The statement said Russian forces attacked Ukraine with unidentified missiles fired from Russia's Belgorod region and 28 drones launched from Kursk region and the city of Primorsko-Akhtarsk, which is located in the Krasnodar region.
Ukrainian forces say air defense forces, electronic warfare forces and mobile fire groups were involved in covering the Russian attack.
The drones were shot down over Sumy, Poltava, Dnipropetrovsk, Mykolaiv and Kherson regions.
As a result of measures taken by Ukrainian electronic warfare forces, two Russian drones have been silenced.
